How Much Does Window Tinting Cost in Orlando?
Window tinting at TintxKing starts at $80. Beyond that, we quote every vehicle individually — because a two-door coupe and a three-row SUV are not the same job, and pretending otherwise is how shops end up adding charges at pickup.
Four things move your price: the film grade (carbon vs. ceramic), the size and glass complexity of the vehicle, how many windows you're covering, and whether old film has to be removed first.
Every install includes a full lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling and fading, and is cut to Florida-legal VLT limits.

Film Grade
Carbon is the value option; ceramic costs more and blocks up to 98% of infrared heat. Both carry the same full lifetime warranty.
Vehicle Size & Glass
A coupe, a sedan and a three-row SUV are different amounts of work. Steeply curved rear glass and panoramic roofs take longer.
How Many Windows
Front two only is the entry point at $80. Full-car coverage, windshield strips and sunroofs are each priced on top.
Existing Film
If your car already has film, it has to come off first. See tint removal — we can strip and re-tint in one visit.
Send us your year, make and model and we'll give you the exact number before you book — nothing changes at pickup.
Carbon vs Ceramic
Carbon Series
The value pick, and the lower end of each price range. Deep matte-black finish that never turns purple, solid glare control, and the same full lifetime warranty as our ceramic line.

Ceramic Series
Built for Florida. Nano-ceramic particles block up to 98% of infrared heat — the wavelength you actually feel — so the cabin cools faster and the A/C works less on I-4 in August.

Tint Percentages Explained
Tint percentage means VLT — Visible Light Transmission, the share of light the film lets through. Lower number = darker film. A 5% tint passes 5% of light; a 50% tint passes half.
| Tint % | Look | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| 5% (Limo) | Nearly opaque | Rear glass only — illegal on front sides in Florida |
| 15% | Very dark | Rear sides and back glass — Florida-legal at 15% VLT |
| 20% | Dark, still see-through | Rear glass, factory-privacy match |
| 30% | Medium | Front sides — legal in Florida, good night visibility |
| 35% | Classic factory look | The most requested front-side shade in Orlando |
| 50% / 70% | Nearly clear | Windshields and heat rejection without darkening |
Tint percentage does not change the price — a 5% and a 35% ceramic install cost the same. Heat rejection comes from the film technology, not the darkness.
Florida Window Tint Law
| Window | Cars — Minimum VLT | SUVs & Vans — Minimum VLT |
|---|---|---|
| Windshield | Non-reflective tint above the AS-1 line only (roughly the top 6") | |
| Front Side Windows | 28% | 28% |
| Rear Side Windows | 15% | 6% |
| Rear Windshield | 15% | 6% |
Florida also caps reflectivity at 25% on front sides and 35% on rear sides. Medical exemptions are available through the FLHSMV. Every TintxKing install is cut to legal spec by default — tell us if you hold an exemption. This is a general summary, not legal advice; confirm current limits with the FLHSMV.

How much does it cost to tint car windows in Orlando?
Window tinting at TintxKing starts at $80. Your final price depends on vehicle size, how many windows you're covering and whether you choose carbon or ceramic film, so we quote each vehicle individually. Send your year, make and model on WhatsApp and we'll give you the exact number.
Is cheap window tint worth it?
Rock-bottom full-car specials almost always mean dyed film, which turns purple and bubbles within two or three Florida summers — then you pay again for removal plus a re-tint. We only install carbon and ceramic film, both backed by a full lifetime warranty, which costs less over the life of the car.
Should I choose carbon or ceramic tint?
Carbon sits at the lower end of each price range and ceramic at the upper end. In Orlando's heat, ceramic is the upgrade most customers say they would pay for again — it blocks up to 98% of infrared heat, the wavelength you actually feel through the glass. Call (407) 391-4172 and we'll price both for your vehicle.
Does a darker tint percentage cost more?
No. A 5% limo tint and a 35% factory-look tint cost exactly the same in the same film line. Price is driven by film grade and vehicle size, not darkness.
What is the darkest legal tint in Florida?
Front side windows must allow at least 28% VLT on all vehicles. Rear side and rear windows must allow at least 15% VLT on cars, and at least 6% on SUVs and vans. Windshields may only be tinted above the AS-1 line.
Do you charge extra for mobile window tinting?
No. Our mobile unit comes to your home or office anywhere in Greater Orlando — including Apopka, Windermere, Winter Park and Altamonte Springs — at no additional charge.
